General Questions:
Q: What types of children’s books do you write?
A: I write books for children of all ages, featuring many wonderful characters from clever collie dogs, a magic & wise bee, a colourful crocodile to a mischievous mole! They are all educational, showcasing problem-solving, individuality, colour and exploration! They are all fully illustrated too! (Thank you to Toni Siân Williams and Lisa Williams for their brilliant work!).
Q: What age groups are your books suitable for?
A: My books fit into 3 categories of differing complexity. You can shop by category on my home page:
Ages 3-6
Ages 4-7
Ages 7-11
Q: How long have you been writing?
A: I have been writing creatively for most of my life in some form or another. At secondary school when I was about 13 years old, I used to write my own (often slightly rude) lyrics to the tunes of popular records at the time – Ernie (The Fastest Milkman in the West) by Benny Hill, springs to mind. I have a history in writing poetry and adult fiction books before settling into writing for children!
Q: How can I find you?
A: I attend fairs, festivals and markets almost every weekend where I sell, sign and read my books! Check the “News & Events” page to see where I’ll be in the near future!
Shopping and Shipping:
Q: How can I purchase your books?
A: You can purchase books directly through this website - it’s the easiest way! You can browse and add to cart directly from the “books” page. Shipping costs are calculated by weight in accordance with the current Royal Mail prices.
Also, especially for public or school libraries, you can purchase through Amazon and all major book stores including Gardners, Askews and Holts, Waterstones and Peters.
You can also buy books from me in person - signed and personalised for no extra cost! Check the “News & Events” page to find out where I’m signing next! You’ll find me selling most weekends.
Q: Are your books available in digital formats?
A: There are no plans to sell digital copies currently unless I receive enough specific requests. There’s no better way to read than holding a physical book, I find!
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: I accept a number of payment methods including Visa and MasterCard at checkout. Payment is automatic through the website.
Q: Do you offer international shipping?
Q: Currently, I’m only able to offer shipping to the United Kingdom, but I’m working to change this in the future.
Q: How long does it take to receive my order?
A: Typically, you should receive your order in 3-7 business days. During busy times it may take up to 10 business days to arrive.
Returns and Exchanges:
Q: What is your return policy?
A: I offer a 30-day return or exchange policy with books in their original condition or if damaged in transit.
Q: How do I initiate a return or exchange?
A: Visit the “Contact Me!” section of my website via the blue “Contact Me!” button and send me a message explaining briefly what you’d like to return and why, along with whether you want a refund or exchange!
Customisation and Personalised Books:
Q: Do you offer any personalised books?
A: Yes! Upon request, I will happily sign your copy and address it to yourself or a loved one for no extra cost! After purchasing a book or books, use the blue “Contact Me!” button on the website and tell me your name, which books you would like personalised and who for, along with a little message if you wish!
Q: Can I place bulk orders for school events?
A: Yes of course! I offer discounted prices for bulk orders. Don’t use the website shop for bulk orders - use the blue “Contact Me!” button to discuss more details and prices!
